Protect Your Dog’s Paws in the Heat

During the very hot days in summer the temperature on asphalt and concrete rises to a high enough level to damage your dog’s paws. To check if the ground is safe enough for your dog simply hold the back of your hand on the hard surface for seven seconds. If you can comfortably keep your hand on the ground it is safe for your dog. If you need to walk your dog in periods of high heat you can try using dog boots. Pawz Dog Boots are lightweight and will protect your dog’s paws. Another option is Musher’s Secret. Musher’s Secret puts a light wax film over the pads protecting them from extreme temperatures.
