Esbilac 2nd Step Puppy Weaning Food is a complete food for young, growing puppies that are being weaned from mom or bottle-fed puppies that are progressing to solid foods.

Ingredients: Rice flour, dried milk protein concentrate, dried coconut oil, dried skimmed milk, rice protein, high oleic canola oil, dicalcium phosphate, artificial flavor, potassium chloride, maltodextrins, calcium carbonate, salt, silicon dioxide, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper gluconate, DL-methionine, viatmin E supplement, manganese sulfate, vitamin A supplement, calcium pantothenate, niacin supplement, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement, vitamin D3 supplement, folic acid, riboflavin, thiamine mononitrate, menadione sodium bisulfate complex, pyridoxine hydrochloride, sthylenediamine dihydrochloride.

Feeding Guidelines
Feeding Directions: For best results, the product should be mixed with ready to feed liquid Esbilac or reconstituted powder Esbilac to give the consistency necessary to get good food consumption. Esbilac 2nd Step should be lapped out of a bowl. If Esbilac is not available water may be used. It is recommended that Esbilac 2nd Step be fed until puppies are 7 or 8 weeks old when they can be fed commercial puppy of dog food as desired. (To avoid digestive disturbances, any changes in diet should be made gradually over the period of one week.)
Mixing Directions: Reconstitute the powder by using three parts water to one part powder for the first few days. This will make a thin gruel. The amount of reconstituted powder should be divided into three or more feedings daily. Offer only small amounts and remove the uneaten potion within two hours. As puppies grow, decrease the amount of water mixed with the powder until weaning food is an oatmeal consistency. Weigh puppies at least once a week to monitor weight gain and adequacy of feeding.

Mixing Directions: Esbilac 2nd step puppy weaning food can be mixed any one of the following ways:
1) Mix 5 1/2 tsp Esbilac 2nd step with 1tbs Esbilac powder and 1/3 cup water.
2) Mix 5 1/2 tsp Esbilac 2nd step with 1/3 cup Esbilac liquid.
3) Mix 5 1/2 tsp Esbilac 2nd step with 1/3 cup water.
Amounts given are per pound of body weight per feeding. Provide fresh, clean water at all times.
